A relative of rosemary and thyme,  This hearty herb with it’s robust, peppery taste is perfect to flavor beans, season meat, and add a thyme-like taste to any meal. Za'atar is also used in the spice mixture of the same name, also including sesame seeds, dried sumac, salt, and other spices.
